After a few hours of sorting and post-processing from RAW to .jpg, here are the photos from the Chiempornsakul Wedding Reception.  I hope I’ve captured enough to pretty much give you a good idea of what went down that night.

Here are just a few of the photos…

The Wedding continued…

reception

As a continuation of Joy and Johnny’s wedding in Hawaii, we held a local reception on Saturday at the Cerritos Library.  The dress code was casual Hawaiian so it was great to be able to wear flip-flops to a wedding reception.

feast

The party was complete with a Thai feast, slideshows, speeches, dancing, drinking, and plenty of hijinks.

neighborhood kids

I was so happy to see my family all together again and it was fun to see Johnny with his friends from all the stages of his life.

dancing

There were lots of little kids and toddlers roaming around and it was fun watching little Brandon boogie down on the dance floor among all the grown-ups and slightly older kids. He’s the little guy in the sweatshirt on the bottom-right doin’ his own thang.

Overall, the party was a success and ended with the bride and groom leaving the place in a dizzy slurring mess. We hung out with them this morning at the Magical House and it was good to see them alive and well with the exception of a little tiredness in their eyes.  I’ve been back in SF for only an hour and I miss home already.  I guess it’s time to book my next flight. 🙂

This is dedicated to Brother…

It’s National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day! Wooooooooo! I’ve always loved the combination but I’ve recently rediscovered the benefits of having it for breakfast each morning. I bring a slice of wheat bread to work, toast it at the cafeteria, grab a PB packet and a strawberry jelly packet, and voila! Breakfast!

Sprouty Update: Day 86

Sprouty_86a

Sprouty is still alive 86 days later.  Woohoo!

Sprouty_86b

As a matter of fact, he’s doing so well that I’m seeing some actual basil leaves growing!  However, I must admit that there was a scary moment when I returned from our week in Hawaii.  The leaves were limp and dried out and he looked super thirsty.  But luckily I got back just in time to give it a little water and it came back to life!  Good job, Sprouty!  Hopefully I will have some tasty basil leaves for a caprese salad by summer.  Mmmmm…

10 miles, baby!

I wasn’t exactly feelin’ it this morning but I managed to get my butt out the door for a 10-mile Long Run.  I ran straight down towards the GG Bridge and ran back.  I was tempted to run all the way to the Sports Basement where they were having a post-race expo but it looked like it was about 1/2 mile ahead and that would make my run back that much farther.  So, I turned around and got home in time for some brunch. Yay me!

An Afternoon at the Playground

playground_01

This afternoon, I was walking Koa and found Little J and his Mommy at the playground.  I was amazed at how big he’s gotten and enjoyed watching him play in the sand and on the boat.
