100 days

Little Reese turned 100 days old and her parents threw her a little party on Sunday.  She wore a cute little hambok and we stuffed ourselves with bibimpap and duk to celebrate.

Her big brother Jack and little baby friends Ben and Rowan were also there to wish her a Happy 100 Days.

Here are the photos from the party.

One month down…

…many more to go.  Yesterday, Rowan turned 1 month old and his family threw him a Chinese banquet.  We had a big dinner and I got to give Rowan his “Auntie Beak pep talk”.  I give all my babies at work a talking to and I’ve done the same with Jack and Reese.  Rowan is a squirmy little guy that likes to soil your shoulder with spit up but he’s still cute as can be.

Vyl and Bang look good so far and the grandparents are so very happy.  Congrats again to the Bangs!

Here are some more photos.

I loved watching “Friends” and always thought it would be cool to live upstairs from a coffee shop where I could meet up with friends and drink out of big cups.  Well, I’m halfway there.  Caffe Pascucci just opened on Monday and their stuff is pretty yummy.

Here’s picture of the grilled goat cheese sammich made with caramelized onion and fig jam with a hot chocolate.  It was my dinner tonight since Jes was not feeling well today.  Now, all I need are some friends who will meet me there.  Who’s with me?!

Sunday with Holly

Holly is in town for a conference this week so I got to hang out with her on Sunday.  In the morning, we went for a little run with the dog and it was a beautiful day in the city.  Afterward, we had brunch at Butler and the Chef.  In the afternoon, she went to 99 Ranch and TJ’s with me.  In the evening, we met up with the Masayas at the cafe that just opened downstairs.  It was their preview night for residents and we got to taste all their stuff for free.  For dinner, they all came back up to our condo for some beef noodle soup.  The day ended with driving Hols to her hotel downtown.

I got some errands done while spending some quality time with an old friend.  Aaahh…I needed that.

Double Birthday

On Saturday night, we celebrated Susie and Victor’s birthdays.  We all met up at Spire for dinner and got invited to the birthday party that was being held upstairs.  At first we thought we were going to head over to 25 Lusk but the line was ridiculously long.  So, we headed back to Spire and crashed the birthday party after all.  It turned out to be just fine.  There was a DJ and a bar.  What else do you need?

Holly also got into town that evening so we all got to catch up with her too.  Happy Birthday to the Masayas!

Happy 2011!

Happy New Year, Everyone! I said “goodbye” to 2010 and “hello” to 2011 with my dear husband and the Masayas this year.

The party started at 10:30 so they came over for some champagne first and then we headed out to a little place called Nombe in the Mission District for all-you-can eat Japanese tidbits.

It was pretty chill inside and the food was good.  At midnight, they broke open a new sake cask and we had help-yourself sake for the rest of the night.

The waitress that helped us was quite a character and I think she showed up to her shift already wasted.  When it was time to go, we each took a cup of sake to-go for the quick walk in the rain to the BART station.

Have I made any New Year’s Resolutions yet? Not formally but I’m sure it will include some form of watching what I eat, exercising more, and saving some money.

Did I keep any of last year’s resolutions? Meh. However, one that I DID actually follow through with was my Project 365. I managed to take a photo a day for the whole year. It definitely helps to have multiple cameras available including my trusty iPhone with all its apps for making some pretty cool Polaroids and plastic camera-looking shots. I’ve decided to keep the project going again this year and look forward to what else I’ll be able to capture. Brother will be trying again this year and Joy will also be joining me. Who else is in?!?! Happy Snappin’!
