This morning after a 4-mile run with Ranee, I stopped at Stephanie’s house to take some portraits. Vivian is about 10 days old now and I got some photos taken of her with her parents.
I also got a photo of her with her Pittsburgh Steelers beanie and “terrible towel”. What a cutie pie.
I had a coupon code for a photo book so I finally got my photos from Maui uploaded and ordered a book. Ah…when can we go back again?
On Sunday afternoon, I met up with my co-worker, Renee, for our second photoshoot. I guess she loved the photos from two years ago so much that she wanted to take more this year.
This time she rented out a dance studio in the Mission for two hours and it was a gorgeous space filled with lots of natural light and had vaulted ceilings.
I rented a strobe kit for the shoot, which helped fill the shadows and helped me capture her poses just right. Here are a few of my favorites so far.
I still have lots of processing to do but I thought I’d do a few tonight.

In an effort to keep beakatude.com from becoming a baby blog, I created a separate site for all the baby photos I’ve been taking. I’ve been pressed to send daily photos to the grandparents so this takes care of that need too. We also didn’t need Jes’ parents to know about all our happy hours and the fatty foods that we consume on a regular basis. On Friday I drove down to San Jose to visit Ishya (my cousin), Billy, and the twins who just turned 4 months. It’s amazing how much they’ve grown since the first day I saw them. When I arrived, they were finishing up a morning nap and then I helped feed them and played with them before going out to lunch. Thanks for sending me this photo, Ishya!!
All 5 of us piled into the car with Billy crammed in the middle of the two carseats in the back. It was comical but seemed to work out. Ishya and I grabbed lunch at Whole Foods while Billy had to take a work call.
The twins were in their stroller napping pretty much the whole time and we got to do some catching up in the sun.
After lunch, we headed back to the house and found both Grandmas already there. Since I was going to be around for a little longer, we also called my uncle to come over. It was nice to see them and they were just as excited to see me (and my belly).
Here are the twins up-close. They took turns fussing this afternoon but had their moments to shine too.
