How sad! Heh…kinda funny too.

With Spring in full force, we have bunnies all over the place! Everytime we take Koa for a walk, there’s a bunny hanging out on the sidewalk or sunning on the lawn. Koa has a great time chasing them but luckily for them we have him on a leash. Unfortunately, they’ve activated their special bunny multiplying power in some other neighborhoods where residents are threatening to shoot them with BB guns.
Yesterday, Jes sent me the link to this set of cartoons. They’re really sad but made me laugh anyways. All I could say to myself was, “why does Mr. Bunny want to die so bad?!” Check it out here.

beef, gooood.

One of our new year’s resolutions is to eat beef only once per week and this week’s featured item was PRIME RIB! I’m not sure how people can be vegetarians but I only had a portion smaller than a deck of cards (the recommended serving size, by the way) and it was sooooo yummy. It’s a good thing I went for a run this afternoon.
In other news, I recently discovered the phenomenon called Nordstrom Rack. I have a bunch of friends who love to shop there but I never got around to it. Yes, I’m a bit late but so glad I finally got to go! It’s like Marshalls but even better! Who can beat a pair of $6 Reef slippas and $11 Roxy dress?! Too bad I won’t be going to Key West as we planned. Stupid United has restrictions on the number of free flights they will allow and they were all booked. Could it be the NBA Playoffs? Maybe. All I know is that I can’t get to Miami without spending an arm and a leg. Boo…no Key Lime Pie for me.

Free Tuesdays

I came home around 2pm today so we got to go to the Orange County Museum of Art to check out their urban art exhibit. I really liked the photographs but some of it just looked like porn. It’s a good thing that admission is free on Tuesdays. Not sure if I’d be happy paying $7 for such a small exhibit. Oh, they also had a mini skate park but it was closed due to the rain. Got home within an hour and took a quick nap before my run. What a pleasant afternoon.

Spud has hatched!

This morning was tough…stupid Daylight Saving Time.
When I got to work today, I found a really pretty butterfly flying around the closed window. It was black with yellow and white markings. I checked under my desk and the chrysalis was open. It was Spud!! He’s a butterfly now! I watched him flutter around until he got stuck in the window sill. So, I pinched his two wings together and let him out the door. Off he flew up and away, ready to start his new life. Isn’t nature cool?
