Fishie Massacre

This afternoon, Jes decided to change the water in the fish pond since the water was getting a little green again. So he did the usual new water/old water exchange and went back upstairs for a little bit. After about 10 minutes, I went outside to check on the pond. The water was clear! Yay! A minute later, I went to look at the pond again and was happy that I could see the rocks at the bottom again but…hey! The fish are floating! Oh no!! I think the water put them into complete shock and killed their plump little bodies. So long fishies. *sniff sniff* All seven of you were good pets.

Man, it’s September already.

Where did August go? Now that it’s September, I am back to work but it’s pretend work for a little bit. The first day of school for the kiddies is September 14th so until then, I’ll be giving inservices, attending staff meetings, rearranging my clinic, and psyching myself up for another school year.

Last night, we picked up Jason from the airport. It was crazy-crowded! I forgot it was Labor Day Weekend. He’s here for a friend’s wedding and Jes’ birthday party. As usual, we woke up this morning, turned on our laptops, and had another day of “working from home”. 🙂 Poor Jes had to actually go to work.
